On Father Mark Kirby's Vultus Christi site are ten good suggestions on the topic of "What can I do for the Year of the Priest ?". If you scroll the sidebar under Categories, you'll also find posts on: Cenacle of the Eucharistic Face of Jesus, Year of the Priest, Thursdays of Adoration and Reparation for Priests, and Spiritual Motherhood for Priests-- all great inspirational reading for this Year of the Priest!
Bishop Edward J. Slattery of the Tulsa Diocese is to be commended for his decisive leadership in promoting Eucharistic Adoration for Priests in the USA! He really took to heart the Congregation for the Clergy's appeal for Eucharistic adoration and spiritual maternity for priests. He got permission for Father Kirby, a Cistercian, to be assigned to his diocese to live in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament on behalf of his ordained brothers. Father Kirby is also available for spiritual support of priests and deacons in the Tulsa diocese and formation of women discerning spiritual motherhood for priests. It is exciting and encouraging to see what the Holy Spirit is inspiring in Tulsa! Thank God for Bishop Slattery and Father Kirby! Hopefully their holy zeal is catching-- please, Lord!
Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ, Eternal High Priest, Mother of all priests, and our Mother, help us respond generously to the Holy Spirit's request, through the voice of His Church, to offer up to God Eucharistic adoration for priests. Amen.
